One of the most essential parts of a BS AU 242b:2022 windscreen repair kit is the UV Shield. In position from start to finish to enable the resin to fill the damage without the resin being compromised during the repair process. If you use a sun shield which you have to remove mid repair or a UV dome with 25% of its side missing then you cant be working to 100% compliance. At GT its 100% UV resistant with all our tools and windscreen repair equipment from the start of the repair to the end of the repair. A UV shield is not required when working inside a workshop and no UV is present.
